Hey, just a heads up. If you haven't heard of Raise.com*, you may want to check them out & keep them on your radar for more money saving opportunities.
Save Money on Gift Cards
Raise.com* is yet another gift card discount program, but they seem pretty uniform in their offerings, unlike some sites that rely on users to post their unused gift cards for sale. They offer a percentage off of e-gift cards or vouchers for a variety of online and brick-and-mortar stores. If you're considering a bigger purchase ($100-$1,000), you might want to check the Raise.com website first to see if there are any discounted gift cards available for your store.
At the time of this writing, they had e-gift cards (online use only) and printable vouchers (in-store use only) for Lowe's, Dell, Microsoft, Target, Walmart, Sears, Overstock, Kmart, Office Depot, and more.
The highest percentage off that I saw was 8%, and the lowest was 0.5%. Dell was offering up to 7% off of $1,000 gift card—not bad if you're considering a new computer. That's automatically a $70 discount (that can be stacked with other discounts).
*Just FYI, these are not affiliate links.
[Update 7/2018]—I've not had a ton of luck saving money with Raise.com gift cards. Seems like the most popular cards are only good deals when you're buying $500 or $1,000. So keep that in mind. When planning on making big purchases at Target (or wherever), this might be a good thing to consider.
For other gift cards (like movies or restaurants), I've had better luck at CostCo, where the cards are 10%-20% off.
